It's a busy month December. Not just for work, and Christmas, but it is a month when I turn a year older too. Try not to think about that too much these days though. Just too much to do. I have felt quite over whelmed with life this year and 2013 can only get better, or just be better will be ok.
Let's start with my birthday at the beginning of the month.... gorgeous gifts given by my friends.... thank you so much everyone.
From Katrina....
Beautiful stitched littlies, and a Lynette Anderson Christmas book that I just love
From Clare....
A new bag, a new block roll and a clover quick unpick. (I had an accident with the iron and mine.... enough said!)
From Wendy....
A lovely table runner in my colours
Thank you ladies, I really love them all. The girls came to stay and I was treated royally. Lauren and Chris took me to dinner in Napier, and I now have a lemon and lime tree for the garden. I have half barrels that they are to be planted in. I cant wait to see them grow.
Anna came up too, and her and I went off to my Christmas party for work. A great evening for it and a fabulous destination in Napier. It was a long weekend, as it was the street Christmas party. Another lovely evening with all the neighbours from three streets in our little area.
I have also been involved with the Angel swap run by Karen Martin from Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop.... this is what I sent off to Lyn....
My gifts were 'very me' and I think they are lovely. Thank you Lyn so much.
And some other goodies for Christmas...

From Katrina....
the beautiful ornament.... a swap each year
I love this piece too, a very cute finish
I love this!
And from the very talented Clare....
How cute are these little buddies!
I stitched this wee wall hanging for Katrina....
I have been on 'holiday' for the last week and there has been a lot of tidying and cleaning up going on. It seems never ending but is satisfying never the less. I have managed to stitch a little and have worked on a few of these....
only two more to do and I am going to try and get them both finished before I go back to work so I can get the quilt put together. This is a lovely project to work on.
I also started on Santa's Village, a monthly stitch.... progress next post I hope.
So on ending this post, I will say Happy Festive Season one and all who read my blog. I wish you and your families all the best for 2013. And of course, great stitching times ahead.
