An Oopsie and an Update

Gee, and I thought 2013 would be my year.  It's certainly not looking that way sadly.

I was stitching away nicely on Thursday night, and went to put a new skein of Blanc in my little threads basket when it fell out of my hand and went right into my cup of tea.  Could not believe it!  I did have a chuckle though and carried on with another colour.  Said thread has since been replaced.  This is what it looks like now compared to the new thread... (sadly it does not look a lot different in this photo)

I just might use that accidental thread on something sheepie in times to come.  I think it would look perfect as a sheep.  Watch this space.

The first part of my Stitcher's Village has been finished. A very enjoyable stitch and it is amazing how much I can get done while watching Downton Abbey - the Christmas Special for 2012. That was a good watch too for all you Downton Abbey fans who have not seen it.

Stitched on 32 count Jobelan in Lambswool with recommended threads.

Starting on the second part tonight.

Thanks for popping in, happy stitching...

Kath

Oh dear about the tea adventure with your thread... lucky it was a thread you were able to replace! I look forward to seeing a unique sheep on your blog sometime!! Your Stitcher's Village is looking beautiful - what a lovely project.

How clever hand dyeing your own thread, lol. Thank goodness it was only your thread. Your stitching is looking lovely. It is mighty tempting.

Imagine the trouble some people take to get hand-dyed thread and you did it without even trying LOL
Your stitching is looking great!

Oh Kath...I laughed out loud when I read your post. Fancy it going in the cup of tea! Really love that Stitcher's Village but I am resisting. Not much stitching going on here. :(
