Hello Friends
I have been thinking for a while that it was time to use up some of the fabrics that I have in my stash. But how??? I saw this tutorial and just knew this would be ideal for a wonderful scrappy quilt that even I could deal with. While I have a few scraps in there, and not being a real quilter, but a fabric stasher, there is a lot of variety and at the end of the day, this quilt will keep someone warm. And isn't the object of the cause??? Why YES I answer myself lol. (My daughter will be pleased to see that I am using up 'stuff' she told me my craft room was groaning with all the bits that I have in here..... pffft to her I said!) On with the show...
I cut... and have my fabrics put together in a nice pile....
There are a few blocks in there, I certainly did not count how many!
I sewed several series of strips together, there are so many more fabrics to come that I want to keep on sewing..... here is a peek
Getting the idea of how it might look, I have not pressed any of these yet
Then I just had to put a block together to see how it looked.... the very first one I sewed....
Don't think it is perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I am very pleased with it.
My faithful helper by my side as usual.... he just can't help himself sitting on the fabric. Thinking I just might make one of these in cat size for him. Of course one for Billy too.
He is so handsome and he really knows he is... don't you Zeus!
There is a lot of secret stitching and sewing going on here at the moment so this is all I can share just at the moment. I do hope to have an update on my Santa's Village soon though, as that is in the q-snaps right now. I am really enjoying my stitching and sewing at the moment. Long may it last!
Thanks for popping in, great to see you!
Cheerio for now...
Kath
