A Smashing Time

Hi to Everyone

I hope you are all having a great week.  To my Aussie mates, I am thinking of you.  Fires and floods, not a good combinantion and both spread utter destruction.

I have had a little destruction of my own.  Sitting outside on a lovely Sunday afternoon, Zeus was there too, my stitching and a gentle breeze.  Perfection.  I had a glass of dies coke with me, just to  have, and to be honest, it was bliss.  I was sitting thinking how lovely it all was.

Then.... the wind got up a tad, nothing to bad I though, but enough to make me take note.  Perhaps I should have taken more note..... this is what happened !

Yes, smashed to smitherines!  Glass went straight down and the glass that had the coke in, not even a scratch.  The umbrella winder hit the glass and that is how I think it broke.   Insurance is seeing what I can do..... hoping to have it sorted by the weekend with a bit of luck.  Fingers crossed!

The fright I got was quite surprising too.  Took me ages and ages to calm down, and for the old heart to slow a bit.  I can laugh about it now.  Not at the time though, I was quite upset.

Back to stitching inside for the moment..... progress next post.

Cheers

Kath

Glad there was no more damage than the table top, I'm not surprised you had a fright
